What do you think of incorporating the illustrations into the spreads? I've always had a thing for illustration - so thought it might be a nice idea to start playing around with the spreads more so in a graphic manner. I know if I did a cookbook, there would be a lot of illustration mixed in with the photos. Like with Stéphane Reynaud's books - 'Ripailles' and 'Pork & Sons':
http://amzn.to/caiFks http://amzn.to/9JJJZT I LOVE these two books.
I'm looking too at the overall design of the blog in the coming weeks, thinking of changing the platform possibly to offer me more options and I'm going to turn it into more of an editorial based style. If anyone has any ideas for topics of food, please send them my way. Not necessarily recipes - more-so themes etc..
Thanks and keep reading :)
Ashley - I bought those strawberries at the Orange Grove markets on Sat, they were so flavoursome and tasty, reminded me a bit of Irish strawberries, which are, without a doubt, THE best in the world!
I also only discovered your blog two or three weeks and absolutely love it! Not only is your food delicious sounding, your presentation is truly beautiful.
God Barbara, I never thought of that combo - and I made butterscotch sauce last week too, tks for the idea, next Sat possibly as I have family coming over for BBQ - 25˚C on Sat coming and sunny - Woohoo! Deffo and ice cream day ;)
I just stumbled across your blog, and my first impression was amazing!! I love your food photos, they are beautiful. I am just wondering, do you do any food photography workshops? If you do one, I will definitely join.:)
