Gourmet Grocer Balmain - Best Cheese Shop in Sydney 2011 SMH Award.

I quickly just wanted to mention... I found out this week the wonderful
Andy Arnfield from The Gourmet Grocer in Balmain, for whom I did a big photoshoot a few months ago - including a wide selection of their cheeses, this week won the superb title of: 'Best Cheese Retailer in Sydney', in the Sydney Morning Herald's '2011 Good Shopping Guide' and I though it only fitting to say a HUGE Well Done to Andy and his partner Colin for such a wonderful accolade :) Well done lads!!

I know mine will be the tenth comment that goes like this: so gorgeous! Really, your pictures are always stunning plus I REALLY love cheese so his post is especially appreciated (even if I sadly don't live in Sidney) x

Gourmet Grocer certainly deserve that award - the selection is crazy good and they know so much about cheese! And they've got a great selection of other goods as well.

Great pics Katie!

Beautiful photos. I love cheese on dark backgrounds. So rustic :)
Or maybe its just because I love cheese! Those look so yummy! I think I might have pears and gruyere for breakfast this morning...

Katie -
Thank you so much for the sidebar love.

Your blog actually makes me panic - Your work is so spectacular it actually makes my breath catch in my throat. So clean and commercial and perfect, but with so much heart and such gorgeous attention to detail. I want you to be in the Editor-in-Chief of a new food magazine.

You are the photographer I wish I was. Just perfection. I have major Canadian-boy crush.

Love it all! As usual... I've had to start being gluten AND dairy free- ruin my life would you- and would loveeee to see some posts about these kind of foodies...

All I can say is that I have complete ENVY .... I wish that Andy and his cheese was somewhere near me - heaven!! Sadly Balmain is a little too far from Melbourne but I now know where I will be going the next time I visit Sydney!!

All the time in the world - I definitely will be doing this soon. I'm trying to start incorporating more veggo foods/meal ideas and want to write a few recipes which are gluten free. The dairy one I'll need to do more work on as I've rarely cooked dairy free before. But I'll do my best, will just take me a few months of experimentation. Thanks for the feedback.

Jason - lovely words and no probs at all having your link there - I have it there as I saw you listed me on your site/mentioned me in a little feature. And as my dad would always used to say "One good turn deserves another" (as he would roll on top of me, pretending to flatten me when I was a kid. ;)

Thanks so much everyone else for the fantastic comments, I wish there was a 'thumbs up/like' button available I could click after every comment :) xx
