Organizing the Bookcase...

Ok, so this has nothing to do with food (although there is a banana in there so that means I'm allowed to post this up on the blog!) but I saw this via Kate Spade's facebook link (a designer whom I've loved for years and years) and had to post, it's so cool and hats off to Lisa Blonder Ohlenkamp and Sean Ohlenkamp who took the time to move every single one of those books to get the results they did. Talk about patience.... *-*

I never thought about organizing books by color. Type, size, subject, author...yes; color...no. Then again I've never thought about having a banana dance across my book shleves.

Watch the hands on the clock the second time you watch and you'll realize just how long it took to shoot this. Loved it!!!

Ah finally I now understand where the term 'banana boat' comes from!

I'm going to show this to the teenagers in my home and give them a reason to never say "I'm bored!" again - stop motion I love you!

Thanks for sharing Katie,

Felicity x

PS Have 'discovered' you via last August's Real Living feature which I just dug out for inspiration - seems I got more than I bargained for because I've found your treasure trove of loveliness here. x F

This is pure AWESOME!!!

And so timely -- I've four bookcases to organize, and have been searching (and failing) to find inspiration.

Just genius.

Congratulations, btw, on the MSL spread! Saw it and admired it immediately, before I realized it was you :)

Love it! That's SO up my alley. And very cute. My kids' bookcases are organised by colour - which makes it really easy 4 them to both find & put away books.

p.s. Congratulations on your book deal!
