Palm Beach Bonfire Shoot

Spiced Roasted Nuts Recipe Here

Ultimate Cheese Burger with Onion Jam Recipe Here

Caramel, Apple & Hazelnut Tray Cake Recipe here

All this week I am spending time developing recipes for the book and also working on recipes for my next food posting which I am planning to get up towards the end of this week. I have a few ideas for food which I experienced whilst on my US trip and also one or two other ideas which have been mulling around my head for a few weeks. Until I get these ideas cooked and shot, as a filler I thought I would upload some images from another shoot a did a few months ago up at Sydney's Palm Beach for Real Living Magazine. All the recipes are in the current Real Living edition and were written by Sophie Hansen of Mandagery Creek Venison Farm. When not helping her husband Tim tend to their extensive Venison stock, Sophie is a food writer and has spent considerable time working for some of the countries best foodie magazines.

Love these photos! They make me want to go pack my picnic basket right now and find a beach.

Especially liking the third to last one with the table setup and props in the background.

This really does make me want to take a picnic to the beach - and there is a beautiful one 5 mins from my house, but sadly it's 40C just now. Love the baked cheese and the red mugs shots. Gorgeous as always.

Earlier this month when I bought the Real Living Magazine, I loved the shoot straight away and thought "Hmm, this photography is so much like What Katie Ate's blog!". Then I looked at the stylist and photographer's credit on the pages and knew. Awesome work!

Beautiful beautiful, I have a photographer question...why do your frames look medium format shaped? I noticed that in your last two posts. Is that because your 5D markII shoots full frame?

I wish we lived near the beach just to recreate that picnic! I have a coming post with almost the same nut recipe, but just sweet not spicy! Great minds must think alike, or maybe it's just the chill in the air bringing out creativity!

these pictures make me want to go to the beach and have a campfire and delicious eats immediately!

What lovely shots, I recognised them from the mag as soon as I saw them. That cheese has my mouth watering, how naughty does it look?

Just caught up on your trip away. Again, beautiful shots. It really does make me want to get a new camera. I studied 20 years ago in the days of film and technology has really got away from me. I just love the clear, fresh shots with a shallow depth of field. They're so natural. I tend to rely on my ipod for my pics on my blog and it can be rather frustrating!
